Lucy Corker
Assisting Director, Professional Development

The gift of giving: “I give 100% of myself
everyday and always manage to get back 110%!!”

Lucy has worked for SPIN, Inc. since 1995, her first and only employer since her arrival in America from her native North Wales. Lucy began her employment with SPIN as a Habilitation Instructor IV providing daytime recreational activities to adults with developmental disabilities in an integrated community center. As opportunities arose within the agency, Lucy also worked as a service coordinator at the community center and was promoted to supervisor of the day program. Looking to develop her professional skills further, Lucy applied for and obtained her current position as Assisting Director for Professional Development in January 2002 in SPIN’s Human Resources Department.

Lucy holds an M.A. in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall University and a B.A. (with Honors.) in Psychology and Sociology from Liverpool University. Lucy is also qualified to teach Red Cross Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid classes and is certified to teach Pennsylvania approved Medication Administration classes for individuals who work in community homes and day program facilities.

Lucy is dedicated to giving her best to the agency who has nurtured and supported her and so many others. It has been this significant support that has kept Lucy at SPIN where she is continually motivated to give back to others everyday.
